Plan storage around your everyday kitchen

Think through a normal day

Where do you unload groceries, make coffee, prepare food and put away dishes? Mark those activities on your sketch. Drawers near prep areas can make cookware easier to reach. A pantry needs useful shelf access, not just height. Leave room for appliance and cabinet doors to open without competing for the same space.

Choose a corner solution deliberately

A lazy Susan can make a corner easier to use, but it needs a compatible cabinet and room on both walls. Blind-corner solutions and empty corners create different layouts. The planner’s corner shapes are conceptual; ATG will review the actual cabinet, adjoining drawers, handles and fillers.

Trash storage is more than a cabinet door

A trash pull-out can include a cabinet, an insert or slide mechanism and bins. Confirm the full assembly, bin capacity and hardware in your quote. The guided Signature calculator treats a selected trash pull-out as an upgrade to its standard cabinet mix, rather than silently adding a second base cabinet.

Do not overlook uppers and islands

Wall cabinets, refrigerator cabinets and hood surroundings need coordinated heights. An island also needs consideration for aisle space, finished backs and end panels; countertops are a separate part of the project. Try arrangements in the overhead view, then review elevations and clearances with ATG.
