Prepare your kitchen measurements

Draw the room from above

Sketch every wall, doorway and window. Label each wall with its total length in inches, then add the distances from corners to openings. Record the ceiling height and any soffits, beams or sloped areas. Include walls that will not have cabinets so the whole room is understandable.

Mark what has to stay

Show the sink plumbing, range location, refrigerator space, outlets and ventilation route if known. Note anything you hope to relocate separately. Photograph the room from several corners and include close-ups of obstructions. Do not assume walls, floors or corners are perfectly straight.

Bring appliance model information

Appliance opening sizes and ventilation requirements vary. Save the manufacturer’s specifications for the refrigerator, range, dishwasher and hood insert. Measure the space you have, but let ATG check the required installation clearances and access before a cabinet order is finalized.

Use the planner as a conversation starter

Enter the room size, place cabinets and appliances, and switch between overhead, wall and 3D views. Add uppers, corner storage and trash pull-outs where they make sense. The rendered preview uses scaled catalog fronts; it is not a construction drawing or a guarantee that every piece is available in the selected line.

For an early budget

You can start with a broad kitchen size or room square footage. If using cabinet run length, follow the calculator’s measurement guidance. Do not count upper and lower cabinets on the same wall twice as one combined run.
